I have a ASRock z77 extreme 6 and for some reason it isn't detecting my keyboard in any usb port front or back. I bought a usb to ps/2 adapter and the backlight won't even come on when using it. I removed the CMOS battery to try to reset the port detection but to no avail. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks in advanced.

Backlights won't work when keyboards and mice are plugged into PS/2 ports, as they cannot provide as much power as USB.
Can you get into the BIOS with the keyboard plugged into the PS/2 port?

Well, the usb to ps2 doesn't work. I have unplugged everything except the graphics card and still no response. Would possibly trying another keyboard work? I'm using a Logitech g510 at the moment.
