Hi all! A (hopefully) simple question for you today (which I don't think has been answered...).

So. I'm not exactly on a budget but at the same time I want to save money where I can, which has lead me to this question...

Should I spend an extra £70 (roughly) to get an extra fan on a GTX 1070? Is it worth it, or would the performance be the same either way?

If you need them, here are the links I'm looking at...
Single fan on GPU: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01GRCYKZK
Double fan on GPU: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01GRCYPE6

Thanks in advance! :)

Solution
First things first: Even though the listings are on Amazon UK, the GPUs are actually being sold by a 3rd party, which is why there is such a huge price difference. Now if you look on NewEgg UK, you'll see the prices that should be charged and not the price gouged ones. I don't recommend the single fan in your case, unless you're consider SLI or a small ITX case. Otherwise, I'd recommend that you go for the Gaming X that cost £342.99, which is the higher clocked version. If I were you, I'd add that card to cart on NewEgg, preceed to checkout and then determine what the final cost is. I'm not sure if NewEgg UK charges fees or taxes that Amazon does not. You will have to determine that. If you insist upon buying from Amazon UK then...

Thanks for the reply and I appreciate the suggestion :)
Had a feeling I should go with the duel fan...
And the higher clock is nice too.

I had a look on NewEgg and before the VAT and shipping it's considerably cheaper, and it's still cheaper even after all that, in the case of the double fan, by about £30, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Didn't realize 3rd parties ramp up the price so much (I'm somewhat new to this scene).

Thanks, a second opinion is always helpful when paying more! :)
And by the sounds of it, after the increase in fans, the drop in noise becomes very noticeable!

If your case has good ventilation and space, get the aftermarket cards with bigger heat sinks and more fans.
However, if you have a small case with not too good ventilation, stick with the reference.
