hey i have a hp compaq 6200 pro microtower here got it with a i5 2500 for $50 HUGE deal there

but of course the mircotower says it all my gtx 760 doesnt work

the gtx 950 is about the same as the 760 but half the size

so i found this EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W

i have the Power supply unit (320 W), EPA 90% efficiency, 12 V dc output

ok questions to answer

is the psu above compatible with the 950 ?

can i even replace the psu of the pre built with the new one?

does it have the cords and outage i need?

if its not whats a similar psu thats fits my motherboard and graphics card

edit: i have a Hewlett-Packard 1497 so i need it to be compatible with that
Thanks And good day :D

Well the GTX 950 requires a 350w PSU and draws up to 90W, you will be able to squeeze an Asus 950 Mini (requires no power connectors) without changing the power supply. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126100&cm_re=Asus_mini_950-_-14-126-100-_-Product

or i can suggest the Gigabyte G1 RX 460 (Also requires no power connectors) draws up to 75W and slightly out performs the GTX 950 and its cheaper :) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125898&cm_re=rx_460-_-14-125-898-_-Product

unless of course you already own the 950 then yes the EVGA 500W should be more than enough to power a 950 with no issues. Most of the GTX 950's require a single 6-Pin connector
