Got a brand new 1080 off the box, And I was wondering what temps. should this card be reaching with its cooler and heatpipes? Because, I was playing Dying Light: Enhanced Edition at 1440p w/ maxed. vsynch off and it was reaching around 81~83c. (I know this is a perfectly fine temp.) but considering it has a larger fan and my prev. SC GTX 970 was only reaching 71c. Granted it was played at 1080p. But I feel a little off. So any owners of the same card care to share your thoughts and temps?

notes: the fan was running at 80% at 80c btw. Just in-case anyone suggests a fan curve.

Solution
That is warm. What kind of case flow do you have, and what ambient room temp? My 1080 FTW has not went over 75C, ever, and I have fans at 70% at that temp using Precision X OC. It usually stays in mid 60's while gaming.

Just checked Dying Light and it hit 68C with a 60% fan profile. 83C is very warm- not dangerous, but too warm.
