i had an hdmi adapter which i used to connect my PC to my monitor, but the adapter broke so now i connected the vga stragiht to the PC, now its blurry

would buying a hdmi to vga make it better?

Solution
Yes it would because a VGA video cable uses an analogue signal.
Where as a Hdmi cable or a Dvi cable uses a digital video signal that give a better and much sharper and more defined picture quality SnowMare.

And can display screen resolutions at a much higher settings that your monitor can display if Lcd.
Where as a Vga analogue cable only has a maximum screen display resolution at a much lower setting and why things look blurry running with it connected.

If you are using the VGA input on your monitor then you are best to use a VGA output on your video card.
A HDMI to VGA adapter would only make it worse.
Check that your PC is set to the correct native resolution for the monitor.

If the monitor does support a DVI or HDMI input, then a HDMI or DVI cable connected to the HDMI or DVI output of your graphics card would be better.

ok so using a hdmi to vga is almost as good as a hdmi right?

No. It is likely worse because the adapter has to convert from digital to analog, rather than using the analog output of the graphics card.
