Hey Peeps

Seagate answers if you HDD external Storage is making a noise is that it needs to run direct off DOS link this:

You need to go too Seagate.com and install legitimate Seagate Seatools for DOS to recognise registration of Seagate Technologies

SeaTools for DOS may not detect external USB hard drives on older systems - it's best to use SeaTools for Windows for testing external drives.

SeaTools for DOS is more powerful though, and is recommended especially to test the drive from which Windows runs as it's unwise to test the Windows drive while Windows is actually running - it can interfere with the diagnosis.
