Before I confirm my purchase I would like to get your opinion on how good the Asus RT-AC5300 router is. My house has a land of approximately 900sqm, will the router be able to cover it all with a good signal and also maintain a good wifi speed?

Asus makes quality routers but do not think that the biggest number is always the best, other models in their line may meet your needs better.

So to use things like 4x4 your end devices must also have 4 antenna which is rare. Most device have 2 antenna which caps the speed at 300m on 802.11n and 900m on 802.11ac. The MU-mimo feature also requires the end devices to support them. Then to use all three radio in the device you must manually balance your device across them.

Then again most this stuff deals with the speed the connection runs not the range. The transmit power is regulated by the government and even the cheapest asus router likely puts out the same radio power as the most expensive. This means more or less they have...

The problem is the radio will have trouble getting the signals though the walls and exterior wall absorb much more signal than interior ones.

If you could put the router on top of your house you might get it to cover your property it is close to the maximum recommended range. But that also assume you have few interfering signals from your neighbors that may actually be stronger at the edges of your property. In most cases it is not the router that causes the problems it is the tiny radio and antenna in devices like cell phones.

You will want some router to use in your house and then to get coverage outdoors you will a outdoor ap sold by companies like engenius or ubiquiti.
