My computer is over heating because of AMD GPU vs Intel CPU. Is there a way for me to fix this ?

I got a GPU AMD Radeon HD 7700 and CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500 @ 3.16GHz 2.17GHz. The temperature of the computer would mostly get from 60C to 70C and has experienced shut-downs from overheating (79C). I don't know what to do, please help.

what is you cooling setup?
where are u reading 60C - 70C? like cpu gpu or what?

My CPU is not overclocked and it reaches 60c - 70c and it's read from the CPUID HWMonitor and I only have fans for cooling.

Clean your fans?
Also you could limit the FPS you get in the games you play to limit the work your CPU (and GPU) has to do thus keeping it cooler.

You can also use an air compressor. Just be careful you don't too close with the air compressor depending on the psi and cfms you could hurt your components. Hope you find a fix!

I did clean my Fan and give the CPU thermal grease but CPU still reaches 65 C

Is 65'c under load? not idle? If so its not overheating, thats a fairly normal temperature for the stock intel cooler.

Check the bios settings. Maybe you have the cpu fan set to quiet mode and isn't spinning fast enough. I turn off the EIST bull crap and OC my G3258 to 4.6ghz and I get 76 degrees on load. Granted I have a good size aftermarket cooler with the fan always on at 100%.
