Motherboard, PSU, CPU.... I don't know, and I'm desperate...

Hello all, I'm brand new to posting on this site (although I've been using your forums for troubleshooting for quite some time now).

Here's my issue (As completely detailed as possible).

On July 4th, I woke up, after having turned my PC off around 0200, around 0900 to a computer that wouldn't work. It would light up, fans would spin, and it would give the normal single beep. Yet, there was absolutely NO power out to any USB socket or video out through the video card.

I removed everything from the board. Plugged in only the CPU heat sink, and tested each RAM stick individually. Same results: lights, fans, but no power to USB. I didn't even try to plug in my graphics card. After consulting some similar issues, I ordered a new MoBo.

New MoBo arrives, I follow the same steps as above, same results. So I order a new PSU. New PSU is dead on arrival, so I have to wait on a second new PSU. Once it arrives, I still have the same results. So, it must be the CPU, right? At this point I figure, eff it, I'll just buy enough stuff to build my wife a computer too so now I've got pretty much 2 of everything....

Fast forward to last night. Literally brand new everything. I start slow. I plug in only the heat sink and RAM. It powers on beautifully. I failed to test USB power though, so that's on me. So, I plug in my SSD that contains my Operating System and the graphics card. I get an incessant beeping from the MoBo now. It sounds like an alarm clock, a series of 4 successive beeps, followed by a quick pause, rinse and repeat....

So, since I've got 2 of everything, I start changing out parts. I go back to the very beginning, taking everything off except for the heat sink, graphics card and 2 RAM sticks. Now, there's absolutely no beep code, no power to USB and no video out.

So, I transfer to the secondary MoBo. This time, I use different RAM, a different heat sink, same PSU and same CPU. Now it wants to flicker power as if the CPU isn't being cooled properly.

What, if anything, am I doing wrong? Is it possible, in the weird cosmic realm of happen-stance, that I have 2 faulty Motherboards?

The parts:
MoBo: MSI X99 SLI Krait Edition (both of them)
CPU: Intel i7 5930k(the onld one) and intel i7 5820k(the new one)
GFX: Gigabyte G1 980
RAM: G.Skills Ripjaw 4 series.
PSU: EVGA 750(old) Raidmax 1000w RX-1000(new)
CPU cooling: Corsair H80i GT

Additional thought: in placing the second MoBo, I broke the USB3.0 slot that lays behind the GFX card. Is it somehow possible this break caused a short in the MoBo? Even as such, I DID conduct a CMOS reset on the "old" MoBo...

Hey, thank you for taking the time to reply! I just realized I may not have been very clear in what MoBo was doing what... Please forgive me.

MoBo1: The original MSI X99a, purchased April 2015. On July 4th it would power the fans and lights but no video and no USB. I followed all steps in the forums here, reducing it to only the CPU and H80i with a single stick of RAM. Still, the problem persisted. After purchasing a new PSU and a new CPU, and even new RAM, this MoBo is now flickering power. i.e. it will power on for about a second or 2 and then turn off, and it cycles this indefinitely. When I try to hold the power button to turn it off, it will sometimes not turn off at all.

MoBo2: the new MSI X99a, purchased this month as a replacement for the original. Initially, it did the above power flicker thing. Then, I changed out the CPU, H80i and PSU. Initially, it powered on fine with ONLY the CPU, 8 sticks of RAM and H80i plugged in. However, I failed to test any USB outlets. After placing the full load; SSD, HDD, GFX card, all RAM, it produced the alarm clock sounding beeps. Then, after reducing load back to the original configuration of only CPU, 2 sticks of RAM this time, and H80i, it started doing the same as the other back in July: it will power the fans and lights on the MoBo, but no USB, no video and no beep codes.

I hope this was a more adequate description of what I'm going through.

Is there anything you haven't changed/replaced between the two builds?

Not that I can think of. I've used both Motherboards with each different set of parts. I've used RAM 1 in MoBo 1 and 2, I've used 2 different H80is. I've concluded the first failure was from the PSU; after having it tested by itself it produced proper voltages, but with all 100% new parts, the new stuff acted the same as the old. So, I've been using the brand new 1000w PSU across both builds recently. I've even used the 5930k and the 5820k on each MoBo.
