I am looking for a graphics card. It needs to have good cooling and be really quiet. RGB would be nice to and the STRIX card seems to be good.

Thanks!

I have an ASUS Strix 1080 8GB, and I love it. The Aura (RGB) is pretty good, except the bottom lights aren't that bright, top lights are though.

Aesthetics aside, I always stay under 66C at full load and around 29C at idle, even while running a 144Hz monitor. The fans turn off if the card is under 50C, and even under full load the fans only go up to about 45% and there's virtually no sound.

It's the coolest (literally) card, and most silent that I've ever had. I would imagine the 1070 is just as amazing.

I agree. I don't own it (though I still rock the GTX680 "TOP" card which is solid), but reviews have been quite good.

*I believe there are TWO versions of that card so you can read up on the differences. So far I only see a higher GPU frequency but that can be manually adjusted (not sure if the "08G" model has a binned GPU but even if it did it may not perform noticeably better).

I've done extensive research and have narrowed my list to the Asus Strix or EVGA FTW cards. MSI Gaming and Gigabyte also look good. Performance should be nearly identical (once overclocked near maximum) so I wouldn't spend much extra. Aesthetics may matter too, but I'd primarily look at QUALITY (though quality is hard to tell... looking at NEWEGG review scores is one way to estimate).

Most of the GTX1070's are getting incredibly high reviews for a graphics card. Averaging close to 5/5!!

Either way, I'm waiting a bit longer for STOCK to increase which should hopefully reduce prices. Maybe a month or so.
