Should I go the Intel way?

Hello there.
I've got a question to ask :). I'm currently using my PC as a "2 in 1" by using Aster and multiple accounts for gaming.

I have FX-6300, MSI RX 470, 8 GB RAM (16GB on the way). and my question is:

If I upgrade to FX-8300 will I see the difference or is "the intel way" the way to go? If I should go with the Intel, which CPU should I buy? Will the i5 6500-6600 be enough or should I opt for i7?
I'm also planning to get another GPU in the future.

So the i5 is enough to see the difference even with the Aster? I mean, the i5 is 4 cores-4 threads, and FX 6300 has 3 cores-6 threads, so it should be able to split the load better than the 4-4 i5 even if the i5 single core performance is like 9999999% better. So my next question is: is the i5 enough or should I save up for an i7 that is 4-8 ? I don't want to throw my money away for an i7 if I won't be able to use all of its power though. As I said, I'm planning to get another GPU along with the RX 470, so will the i5 6600K for example be enough to feed them even with the Aster? I use the system only for games. :)

I think you got me wrong. I'm using Aster with the RX 470 and planning to buy another RX 470 in the future to use them INDEPENDENTLY with the help of Aster.

I'm asking if the CPU (i5 6500-6600K) will be enough to feed my system in this configuration. let's say if I start 2 instances of Battlefield 4 or BF 1 which are CPU heavy in Multiplayer sessions.

1) It's cheaper to just get two PCs
2) Aster is ILLEGAL, as you are violating the EULA of your windows license
3) Aster doesn't work with Win 10 for gaming, far too many restrictions that make it even slower.
4) Neither the 6500 nor AMD 83XX have enough power for two concurrent BF1 instances, and wouldn't be able to use them anyway if they are run from the same OS instance since you can only have one instance at a time working properly.

I use this because I like the idea and it works like a charm thanks to Sandboxie and a couple of tweaks (Origin,Steam, I have multiple accounts and every account has the game bought on its own). I saw this in LinusTechTips video (he used unraid which is way more complicated but whatever...).

Rather than building new PC from scratch, I want to upgrade this one and I want to know which processor is capable of running 2 RX 470 with Aster without bottleneck. So OCed i5 will be struggling, but it will be improvement from OCed FX 6300? Should I go the i7 way then?

With that mess of a hack you'll probably need a 6700K minimum, likely a 6800k+. Windows was never meant to be hacked that way and it doesn't like it, especially win 10

What about Xeon? Hmmm? the 4 core 8 thread ones. Would that work?

That's no better than an i7 6700k, and usually much slower.

The main issues you'll have are:
1) Memory contention, especially in physics heavy games, enough that you'll be memory bandwidth limited
2) GPU performance will be greatly reduced, you must use windowed mode for all games
3) Some (older) games might ignore aster altogether and take all inputs
4) Unless you have a good SSD you might even be disk IO limited for some games, especially open world types.
5) You could run into interesting situations when one user decides to restart the machine

I'm using the fullscreen window for most of the games (a lot of them supports this feature)
I'm yet to encouter a game that would not "accept" Aster in inputs (but it can happen for sure), the only game I was unable to run was Warcraft 3 LAN mode because it somehow doesn't work with sanboxie nor any other "alternative way" :D
I have every newer game on SSD (every user has it's own SSD so this won't be a problem in my case :) )
We are sitting next to each other and the system warns the user that there are other profiles active when one of us tries to restart the system :)

So I will probably go with the i7 then :)

And I will laugh if you have key revocation issues. Seriously, using that software is an EULA violation and technically hacking. Not to mention it's made by a shady russian company with no offices outside the old ussr

I could probably also use SoftXPand or UnRaid if that's the problem, as UnRaid supports double windows installation if that's the main problem :) The only problem is that kind of complicated setup :D

That's what the Aster is for, I used 2 different GPUs already (My new RX 470 and my old R9 270 and you can manage this in Aster, but the CPU was bottlenecking hard... even in CSGO I was unable to get past 100 fps in multiplayer on either of the GPUs because of the CPU-> It was constantly on 100% and then I started private game of CS:GO with less players and had 200+ fps. So the only thing that I want to know is, if the Xeon, i7 be a significiant jump from the FX 6300. I know that my setup is impractical and what not, but I like the idea as long as it works (and it does for now :) )

It plainly will be an improvement but an entirely seperate fx 6300 build will coat about the same amount as a Xeon or i7 alone.
I don't think for one minute you can get a 50/50% split on performance using software like this though , there are far more overheads with sharing memory lanes, PCI express lanes & the like from a single board.

From a technical standpoint it's all quite interesting but practically & financially it makes next to zero sense to me personally.

Said it a few times, but he won't listen ;)

Just in case, here's a system that will run CSgo and others using your 470 (and the 270 can stay in the old rig)

Yup, cheaper than the cheapest skylake i7/xeon CPU+mobo+RAM you can find

Okay, there is no way I could justify my build (I just like the idea) and I'm kind of stubborn about this. Since I already have 16GB RAM ready I only need the mobo and processor which will cost me about 400 dollars (in my country) and then I can sell my current mobo and CPU along with RAM which will get some of the money back. So I will just go with the i7 or Xeon. I don't want to start flame war or whatnot. sorry for asking :D
