I need some advice for my computer/setup upgrade

hi! i´ve got a custom built pc with a GTX 960 4G graphics card, Intel i-5 4440 prossesor, philips 274E 5 QHSB 1080p IPS LCD Monitor.

but i cant decide what i wanna buy of these three items
graphics card (gtx 1070)
screen (BenQ XL2720Z)
intel i-7 prossesor
please help me decide what i need the most, I have around 400 euro to spend, so please come with other advive too

Why do you feel the need to upgrade?

You don't need a new processor for gaming, the i5-4440 is fine. You don't need a GTX 1070 if you are going to keep your current monitor as it is really overpowered for 1080p 60Hz. Depending on what games you play, the monitor might not help you much since the 960 will have a very difficult time doing over 60 FPS in 1080p on games besides CS:GO.

So if you are playing a lot of AAA titles I would probably opt for something like a GTX 1060 or RX 480 (if you feel you need more performance) and save the rest of the money for another day. If you are playing a lot of CS:GO I would buy a 144Hz monitor.

A 960 and an i5 is very good for 1080p gaming, you DO NOT need to upgrade.

Maybe get an SSD, it could make boot ups and loading times much shorter. But a 256gb SSD costs only in the one hundreds.

The items you suggest would only be beneficial at something like 1440p to light 4k.

Along with the SSD maybe get some nice peripherals and some solid speakers.

thanks for the advice! but one more question.
if im gonna play all the new games coming out for example BF1, does the 960 really work for those high graphic games?

I was thinking about buying a new graphics card and then later on buy the screen, but i really want a 144hz Monitor,
But if u say that the 960 will have a hard time with 144hz then im not so sure with the monitor anymore

It depends on the game. Stuff like BF1 we don't know yet but I imagine the GTX 960 will probably average something around 45 FPS in 1080p on Ultra, maybe more maybe less. So a 144Hz display is something you won't necessarily be able to take advantage of for that game.
