Can i move an os from a hdd to an ssd

Solution
You don't want to clone everything over to your ssd. All documents and most games will run just fine if you leave them on the HDD. What makes your computer fast is running you OS and other core files off of the SSD.

You can. One method is cloning. You can clone you C drive onto the SSD. I would just fresh install everything on the SSD. You can use the same product code and it runs a lower risk of problems arrising. Obviously post clone, you want to wipe the HDD so that you don't have two hard drives with operating systems running.
