entertainment vs. gaming computor

I would get a large HDD and a X99 i7-6800k if I were you. Do you stream games a lot? Do you play at 1440p/ultra? Whats your budget?
Basically, I just surf the internet, watch you tube and DVD movies. A few years back I built myself a Mid. level gamer. At that time it was cheaper to built one than buy. Now I hear it is cheaper to buy one mid. level gamer than built one. I am an Older person(age 71), my interest lie in the visual and sound. The type of question I have is: does a mother bd. sound card just as good a CREATIVE SOUND card, do I need a high end card in other items such as in chip so on. I hope I make sense. I am Looking at a cost from $500 to$1,000....Dan.

Hey Dan,
Sound cards DO make some difference, although I personally can't tell. I thought this was a production rig. What games do you want to play?
