AMD features or Nvidia features?

At the moment I'm caught between the gtx 1060 or the rx 480 as both are almost the exact same price and have very similar performance. I have been mainly Nvidia side recently and I'm curious to see which company offers more useful features that I would be able to make use of. Many thanks.

I'd say the biggest feature AMD offers is that their implementation of adaptive sync, Freesync, tends to be cheaper than Nvidia's G-Sync.

I don't know if you would call it a feature, but currently AMDs cards seem to perform better in games with new APIs like DX12 and Vulkan. However, there are only a handful of games using those APIs, so it's too early to definitively say that AMD is more future proof in that regard.
