They use different motherboards and RAM so you have to factor in everything. The 4690 is stronger but it means buying last gen RAM and motherboard which will limit upgrade options

You're right, although i3 6100 is cheaper for around 40 euros, I currently have LGA1150 ( AsRock H81M DGS ) motherboard, and I was planning to buy DDR3 RAM.
