Idle in windows I am getting around 38-45c

When in a brand new game Mankind Divided I am averaging 55-60c

Is this considered high? I did not run the game long as I did not want to risk it...

the machine is overclocked and I may turn off the overclock if there is an issue, but the fan works i manually set the fan to high and you can hear it blowing...

wierd I got a warning at 61.... I adjusted my fan to be more aggressive speedwise...

It is overclocked to 4.4 gigahertz.

I ran the Deus Ex Benchmark from the game it maxed out at 56... should be fine, not sure what the warning was from but I left the fan on the Turbo mode so it is more aggressive at keeping it cool.

I am sure the numbers are not much different, but i meant to say 2600k... it is the I7 I guess some knew what I meant because I said Sandy Bridge. Sorry about the confusion. I changed the mistake on my part.

I think it was the Motherboard temperature program in the AISuite called Thermal Radar (ASUS) I installed it last night as I had a power outage and at post it gave "Unable to overclock" error. The second boot it seemed to shut down. The third and since it has booted just fine...

I think it is a multiple tiered problem... my Coolermaster Hyper EVO is kinda slow to spin up fast enough... but I have read after a power outage or the computer having the power cut while on with ASUS motherboards will cause that issue.

I do not mind replacing the chip and motherboard... even if I have to buy another windows copy (though that will suck) however, I just prefer not to... it would be hard to just replace the chip as they do not make chips for this socket anymore.

no I do not mind the noise... it is jsut that it is reaching 70c in Deus Ex Mankind Divided. I am not sure if the Thermal Radar program is not helping much, that or maybe the fan for some reason is not working well anymore.

ok well i was not sure what would happen if it would burn up or what... I simply turned up the minimum speeds of the fan, it is a little noisier but hey that is fine... hard to hear with games going anyway.
