I have 2x 290X's in crossfire, drawing very different levels of power under load for the same clock speed. Both cards are cooled by AIOs and a Corsair HG10.

Primary Card: Diamond 290X (reference)- 198W
Second Card: Sapphire 290X (reference)- 246W

It's somewhat concerning because of the VRAM temps. The Diamond card VRM temps are 90/64, while the Sapphire is at 107/62. Core temps are fine under load, 67 and 62.

Doesn't matter which I place in the primary or linked; the Sapphire card draws more wattage than the Diamond. This happens when I use stock clock, or overclock (1066Mhz, +10% power).

Is this a setting issue? Or just different cards means different draws? Although a 24% increase is kind of odd...

Solution
Some cards even if they are similar draw power different than other cards, it why people say every card overclock differently even if they are the same model. Its normal, the lower your card ASIC is the more power its going to use and the higher the less power, you can check your ASIC level using GPUz.

as long as the cards are performing similar to each other i wouldn't worry about it :)
