Razer Stealth + Core CPU Bottleneck Issues

I recently bought a razer blade stealth (the 256 GB QHD config.) and it comes with an i7 6500U dual-core processor...which is normal for ultra books. I haven't decided on whether or not to get the razer core along with the new GTX 1080 or just use the stealth as a portable ultrabook. The reason why I'm delirious is because I've read some threads and forums about the potential CPU bottleneck issues when it comes to AAA gaming. So even if I get a decked out GPU, the CPU wouldn't allow me to push my frames per second.

I was wondering if the bottlenecking issues for the CPU is actually a big issue and would it actually affect my FPS by that much.

Thanks.

It's a dual core 4 thread cpu at low clock speeds. Id say in gaming it'll be like a i3 6100. I dont know actually, don't really do much reading into laptop cpus, just going off spec sheet.

If it is like a 6100, then yes, in some games you'll see some cpu bottleneck, particularly with the relatively low clock speed of the 6500u.

Someone with more knowledge will be along soon!
