Hello! I recently bought a gtx 1060 and i have a 500w power supply.

I have an alienware aurora r2

Will i be able to switch out the power supply?

Does that have an i5 cpu? 500w is more than enough for an i5 and a 1060, even the cheap psu in your system should be fine.

It should be alright, but it is a poor quality unit nonetheless.
What PSU are you planning to swap it out with?
Compatibility should be fine so long as the case follows standard ATX dimensions.
