I currently have a R9 380 and a 4K free sync screen and I was looking for a upgrade so I could play rocket league and American truck simulator at 4K and take full advantage of my screen. Do you think a Fury for $299 is a good deal or should I wait for the 490 and if the 490 is a duel gpu card will it even work with those games.
My current card has the micro center overclockers warranty so I can get a full refund of $249 even if nothing is wrong with it and that will go towards paying for it.

Edit: I don't care about noise, power consumption or heat.

The Fury will be a significant upgrade for you.
You can expect to see about double the performance of an R9 380. ;)
It's a bargain at that price.
I would suggest the 1060 normally, but given that you have a FreeSync monitor, the Fury is the better option.
I would not hold your breath for a 490. so far there is no knowing what it will be, and frankly with Vega supposed to launch within 4 months, it might not ever appear. that price for a fury is great, so I would go for it. just note you could still have to lower some settings, I am not sure just how demanding those games are.
