I currently use to AMD based cards (R9 380x and r9 390x) in non-crossfire. I have six monitors setup in a 3x2 configuration (three wide, two tall) Bottom three monitors connected to 390x, top three on 380x. The three top monitors are used as separate monitors at 1920x1080 each. Bottom three are in an eyefinity group at 5760x1080. I play games on the bottom three, and use the top three to watch tv, web browse, etc.
Question is: I want the power of the gtx 1080, but I want to keep my 6 monitor configuration. Can this be done at all with Nvidia cards? From what I can tell, if I do surround with the three bottom monitors, I can only have one 'accessory' monitor. Solution?
