Pretty much my new 1080 gtx FTW was running over 100 mhz over the boost clock listed on my card. I was in game, (wow running 4k) and all of a sudden my screen goes black and I hear my gpu fans going nuts. I turned off my PC to let it cool and then I went into Precision XOC and changed the clock offset to -200 and now its running at just above the base clock listed on the card's specs at just under 60 degrees C in WoW. Is this going to be ok? should this even be happening? Is there something else i should do to avoid this issue in the future? I had the fans going at about 70% I believe but I'm not sure, it was on auto. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Yeah I wish I knew what the cards temp was before it overheated, because I've heard of cars going to around 100 and they are still going.
