^Just like he said sleep is better for desktop since you want it to resume work immediately
Hibernation is more for a laptop since.
Nothing wrong with shutting down PC every night since turning off the computer will save electricity and clear out everything that is in the RAM.
i mean i dont mind hybernation, i read somewhere that hybernation is bad, is it true? i only hybernate the desktop when i sleep and go to school,so kind of wana save as much power as i can
What is your operating system?
Last time I use hibernation on Windows 7 upon resuming it blue screened on me.
Total lost of data and program that I was working on.
I recommend using hibernation on Windows 10.
I have no issues so far hibernating with Windows 10.
If you are using Windows 7 I recommend leaving it to sleep mode.
It doesn't use much power and you can resume immediately in less than 10 seconds.
