Can I upgrade my CPU without changing my Motherboard?

Hi guys, I`m getting a bit familiar with this type of help so wanted to ask another question. Can I upgrade my Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66 CPU?

My computer specs:

HP xw4600 workstation
Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard 0AA0h (XU1 PROCESSOR)
Chipset Vendor: Intel
Chipset Model: X38
Chipset Revision: 00

Any processor with the LGA 775 socket will be compatible with it. However, the current processor that you have is already a Top tier processor for that socket, it would be a waste of money to get a processor with just barely better performance.

so how can I know what processors my motherboard supports, like a list of cpus tha my mb supports?
