Is it gpu problem?

Hi, i have problem with my pc.My pc freezes and green lines show up.Then i shut down force. After maybe one hour or a half it start up normally without any problems. I have recently change my power supply to i dont know maybe 400w from 500w. When i was on 500w that never happen to me. Can power supply couse this problem? I have nvidia 8600gt

If you changed the power supply and the issue started, change it back to the one that was working. It may also be the video card, it's pretty old. You need to swap out the components and/or test them in another system to see what fixes the issue.
