Upgrading my laptops memory

I have a Samsung 300e laptop. I wanted to upgrade to an SSD and buy more memory for it. However, it's got 6gb of ram in it (which is a strange number) so I downloaded a tool to check the layout of it. Apparently, it's running a two 2gb and 4gb stick and should have two empty slots (which I couldn't see. The two slots I could see were full).

The model number is NP300E5A-A03DX. It's from the UK.

I have literally no idea how to tackle this. I know that its generally good practice to have identical sizes with the same manufacture so what do I do?

Thanks,
Callum

I am not sure about the 4 slot idea, if you only see two then there are probably only two, most laptops either have a single or dual slot setup. I would look to swap out the 2GB stick for a 4GB stick that has the same speed and latency, if possible the same brand. Pop out a RAM stick and see what it is branded. it should also mention the speed and CAS latency.
