Hi All,

I just bought GTX 1060.
After I done installing it on my motherboard ASUS H81M-D, my computer did not boot.
Is it because GTX 1060 is not compatible with my motherboard (ASUS H81M-D)?

Please help me.

Hi bro, thanks for your reply.

my PSU is 500 watt, should be strong enough.
unfortunately, latest BIOS update for my mobo (ASUS H81M-D) was on 2015 based on asus support website.

is there any other possibilities other than bios problem?

If not, seems like I should buy new motherboard. Any website for GTX 1060 motherboard matrix?

The GTX 1060 should work in any PCIe Gen 3.0 slot
I mean it could be that it just does not like your motherboard, not much else would cause it not to boot.
Is it just not turning on or are you seeing the fans spin up but nothing on the monitor?

The fans spin up but nothing on the monitor, exactly like you said.

H81M-D PCIe is not 3.0 slot anyway.
It's 1 x PCIe x16 and 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1

I tried it and it did not work bro.

Still not detected and can't boot.
