Greetings,

This being my first Thread ,forgive me for any rookie questions.
I purchased my system back in 2011(November) and it has always been a stock PC ,never overclocked ,never used internet too just casual gaming.
Current Configuration
AMD 1055t 2.8Ghz (stock)
Ga-880Gm USB3.0 (rev 3.1) mobo
500GB WD +250GB seagate HDD
8Gb DDR 3 Ram 1600Mhz. (recently upgraded from 4gb)
GTX760 Zotac 2Gb .

Now Games that i currently run are
COD -Afterworld
Watchdogs
The Witcher 3

I have following issues with my current configuration.
approximately 6 months ago i opened up my case for routine cleaning and i started dismounting all the connectors(usb wire of Case to motherboard/power button/restart button etc.
after that i installed new windows on my pc and then intalled the wireless router (dongle setup) and the moment i plugged in the router(device) my system restarted and this is when my life became a Horror and this was the first time my pc entered in a restart loop and ever since then i have been eliminating issues.
I have tried some of the following measures and some of them led to a bigger trouble-
1. Reinstalled windows and all components (didn't stop the loop)
2. Rearranged the connectors in the previous pattern before the cleanup.(didn't work)
3. Removed the dongle software stopped using the device and again reinstalled windows.(still same)
4. Removed and reintalled graphic card and all it's drivers(didn't work)
5. UPDATED TO LATEST BIOS VERSION(succesfull process)
stopped restarting for a while .
6. Checked all HDD's for bad sectors and defragmented all of them.
7. Installed a 8gb 1600Mhz Ram from 4gb 1333mhz ram and changed BIOS settings.

now i didn't see any restart loops after the BIOS UPDATE and new RAM installation as they happened on the same day but then i noticed my ram was working at 1333mhz and since i am not overclocking my system i wanted it to work at 1600mhz only so i changed the DRAM settings and made it work on 1600mhz the timings were 11t,11t,11t,32t
and i tightened them to 9t,9t,9t,28t
after that it worked fine played all the games without lags as COD-AW was lagging as shit and i feel embarassed.
My system showed me an error at POST saying
SYSTEM HAS FACED BOOT FAILURES DUE TO OVERCLOCKING.
i immidiately entered bios and switched everything to default .
after restarting it entered into the loop again and after 3 restarts i logged into windows.

Now i want 3 things to work my requirements.
1.i want my system never to reboot loop again.
2.want to OC my CPU (amd 1055t ) at 3.5Ghz range stable (without extra voltage) as it is 4years old plus on stock cooling.
3. i Want my RAM to work at the best possible speeds to support that overclock.

WIll be hugely greatfull for any help ,thanking you in advance .
regards,
Sarandeep :D

Solution
reset BIOS

please run this one:
http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
install it on an empty usb flash drive and boot from it

check temperature with amd overdrive while running prime95 at stock settings, no undervolting or anything else

replace the cmos battery
which power supply is it? test with another one

set a xmp profile in bios instead of manually setting up the ram

so the GPU is detected now?
do you mean "changed from Auto or IGP to PEG? PCIe and PEG is the same port.

which arctic 64pro is it? freezer, alpine,...

Further Updates I have upgraded my CPU cooler from stock to arctic 64pro and I have undervolted my CPU at 1.225volts .
I ran prime 95, it's not stable even at stock , my GPU stopped detecting after I cleared CMOS so I changed preference to PEG from PCi E .
Also I tried running Ram at 1333mhz with 9t timing and at 1600mhz with 11t but still no fun .
Thanks for your reply .

replacing the cmos battery wouldn´t hurt
ok, couldn´t find XMP either
1333MHz is the RAM controller´s base clock, higher than that would be overclocking and therefore you need better cooling or other timings or more voltage
setting a lower voltage can make the system unstable

this cooler is meant for TDPs equal and less than 90Watt. Your CPU has a TDP of at least 95Watt if it´s the lower one, the other version of this CPU can reach up to 125Watt. This cooler is not suitable for your CPU.

By the way, there are three graphics options for displaying first, PCI (not PCIe), PEG, and onboard VGA. But you already figured it out anyway.

My CPU stayed pretty much stable at 1.3v @2.8ghz idle at 31 and Max load temps are around 51-52 after one hour I moved my focus to GPU.
So I used furmark GPU stress test which tool my gpu to 84-85 temps at load I Don't know if that's safe but my system rebooted after 2-3 minutes and it restarted with normal post but rebooted seconds later and this repeated for 2 more times so switched it off completely. And booted my system after 30minutes or so , it said your system has experienced boot failures due to overclocking and then it booted peacefully I even played DMC3 for an hour or so without any problems.

So my doubt goes either my GPU is not getting enough power (PSU antec vp650 has dual 35A rail) which I think is enough for my setup .
Or my GPU is overheating at load.
Kindly suggest .
Regards

I will surely test at stock volts 1.47 which is like fairly high but I will do it and then furmark , but do you think it might be totally related to the gpu??

Sorry again for the super late reply as you see my whole country is busy as you PM changed currency notes. Haha
Anyways sorry n thanks for your reply my problems remain the same.
Old Ram is not an option as I said I only changed it cause the problem prevailed.
I can play games for 30-40 minutes before it restarts and then screen eventually blacks out no posts after 2-4 tries.
I have to shut down power then try again after few minutes, it takes a boot or two before runs stable for another 30 minutes.
I can get gpu changed it would take 40-50 days over here trying not to, I can get Ram replaced hand to hand , battery already swapped .
Psu is brand new but I can get it changed too cpu and mobo are not an option. Please tell me how to start narrowing down my problems right from step one u would suggest, I think there must be a tiny problem that is making the world trouble

Or should I just start with my CPU and dismount the gpu to try and test it's stability first .... And then try it with gpu ? Do u think it would help to figure out if it's GPU vs any other components??

Temperature margin in AMD overdrive was around 16.5 and minimum it reached to 14.5 but that's it not any lower than that even in Core Temp it was 55-56 highest upon small fft 6 workers for 1 hour bu now even after setting defaults it is restarting.

I can I have to make up few requests, but I am sure it can be done anyways now are your all doubts upto gpu only??? As today aslo I ran my pc for like 1-2 hours ran smooth I didn't tried any cpu or gpu stress test because after that my pc becomes completely unusable until I clear BIOS and stuff .... I have doubt that it might not even show up the problem in another system but I ll still try as I bought it from someone else may be he sold it for the same reason but he refuses any prior similar problems

if it´s working in another system, the gpu should be fine.

check with your power supply in the other sytem too and try another psu in yours

Is the power in your area stable or do you have to use some sort of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)?

After that, only the motherboard or the cpu could be the culprit

I don't think PSU is an issue as it's brand new but still if GPU on another system runs fine I will get my PSU replaced as it is very near by service centre and hassle free replacement will be provided on Antec products

Power is stable we hardly have any electricity cuts , Bdw I am in Delhi so no suh problem it's just graphic cards take longer than expected to be replaced
