Im considering to upgrade my gtx 760 to a 1070, but im in a struggle to understand will my psu have the correct cables or the wattage. im running a FORTRON ATX 2.3 500W PSU, and the current GTX 760 requires 6+8 power, Im using a 6 to 8 pin adapter and a 2x molex to 6pin adapter just to run the card.

Setup.
i5 3570k
12gb ram
Gigabyte GTX 760 Windforce 3x 2gb
FORTRON ATX 2.3 500W
gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3

So your PSU is kind of a POS. It's not technically designed to be strong enough to run your current GPU, hence why you need adapters.

I wouldn't recommend you try to run a 1070 on it.

It would be in your best interest to invest in a quality power supply that won't burn your house at the worst, or damage your hardware at the least.
