Hello everyone.
First of all, I am aware that there's a ton of other topics with this subject, but none of the fixes, well... fixed my problem.
Second, this is the second thread I make with this issue since my last one (trying to delete it) was left in the dark. And I'm still having issues.

My brother recently bought new parts for a new PC, he got:

FX-6300;
Asus M5A97 R2.0;
EVGA 600w Bronze;
XFX R9 380 4gb
(He'll be using the same HDD from his last PC, he'll format it).
The RAM he's using are my old sticks (Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G 2x4gb)

*Note* I have the same MB and the same CPU, and the sticks worked perfectly for me.

When we fired it, the DRAM led stared at us with a constant glare.. we tried a ton of things but nothing happened. Everything else seemed to work fine (coolers).

We tried:
Making sure that the sticks were all the way down;
One stick at a time at every slot;
His old 2gb RAM sticks (one at a time and in every slot);
Erasing RTC RAM;
Hitting the MemOK button;
Removing the GPU;
Loosen the MB screws to avoid shorts;

And I think that was it. I can't remember anything else that we tried.

In the last one, user Calvin7 gave a good tip:

FX-6300 supports 1866MHz with one DIMM per channel.
It supports 1600MHz with two DIMMs per channel.
Asus M5A97 R2.0 is a dual channel motherboard.

KVR1333D3N9/4G is a single 4GB stick. Using two is not a matched pair. The specifications are for one module not two.
Using 1333MHz may work but it is not the correct speed for an FX processor. Using mismatched random modules also may work but are not guaranteed to work or guaranteed to operate at rated specifications.

I would recommend you using the correct hardware (1866MHz) 2x4GB kit and setting the memory clock, dram timings and dram voltage in the BIOS.

After his post, we've tried with my set of sticks: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 1600MHz 2x8gb, but still nothing. Still getting the red led at our faces.

Is it possible that the MB came with a manufacturing defect? Or are we still doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot for reading all of this and I hope we can find a solution together!

Something really strange happened.

I did as you suggested! We placed his CPU in my PC and, ding! It worked. PC booted and everything. Then we were relieved, thinking that the MB was the faulty one, and now we knew what to do.

But just to be 101% sure, I put his CPU back on his PC, powered it and... DING! It worked! It booted! What the hell just happened!? I don't have a clue on how this worked.. And we were still using the Kingston sticks..

Is there a non-supernatural explanation for it? Hehehehe :)

Hmmm, I get it!

Thanks a lot for the help, man!
