Is it possible to overclock i5 6500?

Solution
There are a handful of motherboards with older BIOSes that can overclock non-K CPUs by increasing baseclock. This breaks a lot of power saving features, and I believe Intel is trying to lock people out of being able to do this, so at some point you might lose the ability to overclock from a BIOS update or Windows update. I wouldn't count on it. If you want to OC, get a 6600K and Z170 board.

Thanks.
So new releases of Z170 will not support OCing Non K CPU?
Can u help me with second part of my question

no, intel has always had the K line of CPU's to overclock. intel just messed up and they resolved it. if not now it will be getting harder to find a motherbord that will allow you to still overclock a non K CPU
