Beeping mother board

Msi 970 gaming
One long beep, 2 short beeps, it says it's a video problem, I just put this new one in and i get a black screen.
Slot is good cuz my old card still works and I have a huGE PSU so is my card dead ?

Please post your full specs (including the new & old card, and the make/model of your PSU).

Having a 'huge' PSU doesn't really matter if it's of poor quality (or if you're using molex-PCIe adapters).

I'd say it's too early to say your card is dead/defective, that is actually extremely uncommon.

Yes I have the VGA 6 pin and the VGA 6+2 pin connected
