Hello,
My sons pc got an error during a windows 10 update install. It continues to crash at 30% and just restart and go back to the same error. I tried making a bootable usb recovery drive and that did not help. I ran the diagnostics and repair, could not repair, it does not give me any safe mode boot up options.
Since he only has his game files on it, I thought I could take out his HDD, hook it up to one of my computers at work (ALL IN 1) Pc with a internal adaptor to make it external and explore the HDD and pull the files I needed off of it.
Unforunately it sees the HDD is in RAW format. I have been able to do this in the past with previous versions of windows, XP the last I can remember and tried.
Is this possible anymore, or did something change in windows.
Anyone have any idea what I can do, besides just reformatting and starting fresh.
Thank you
