Is a "gaming chair" worth it?

Hey, I'm looking for a chair upgrade, is the DXracer / AKracing chairs really worth the price tag?
I'm either going for a gaming chair or just one from ikea.
I spend up to 6 - 10 hours a day in my chair so one thats comfortable sitting in over longer periods of time is a must. Thanks.

Isn't really computer peripherals as the category suggests, couldn't find any other fitting category.

I suppose for comfort it definitely is, but I personally find myself to be more productive when I am physically uncomfortable, whether that be a crappy chair or even if I have to pee really badly.

Nice chair. But even with the 'gaming' label, it is no more expensive than a good 'office' chair.
The only complaint with it is that it is a bit narrow across the shoulders.

look at how the good racing chairs are built - actual metal frame so they are more durable than your average office chair which is flakeboard. now, the cheaper racing chairs are built bad so you need to get one of the good ones. you can of course find quality chairs by companies like herman miller which are also nice without going for the whole racing chair look.

generally what you buy in office stores is flakeboard trash most of the time. even if it costs $300.
