I'm sorry to tell you this but your motherboard is not made for overclocking. It's a cheap board. You might be able to get 4.0GHz if you're lucky. The voltage it takes is different for each CPU. I used to be on a board like that and I got 4GHz out of an FX 8120. It wouldn't go higher because of the board.

Overclocking is possible. My friend has the same board and we overclocked his 6300 to 4.6Ghz.

See the blue heat-sink beside the CPU? Underneath that are your VRM's. Your number one concern is keeping this cool.

Either attach a fan to it or make sure air is blowing over them, especially if you're using liquid cooling. They will get very hot if you add voltage to CPU. I would set CPU fans to max.

For BIOS settings I would keep Vcore under 1.475 volts on this board. Use a north bridge core of 1.28. Disable all CPU core features. Use multiplier only to start, then add bus speed. Test your settings with RealBench or Prime 95. YouTube videos help a lot.

Remember, keep the blue heat-sink beside CPU cool!

They both have the same power output actually @ 95watt TDP.

Only the 8320+ 8 cores have the aggressive 125watt TDP.

That's only your experience. You might have just had a bad CPU. It happens.

no i was gonna buy these components but it seem that OCing isn't gonna as good as I thought but now that I think about it I really don't care about getting 4.3 GHz i'm fine with 3.9-3.8 so I guess I won't waste some of my money though but thanks anyways people

I know I'm late to the party but I hope you tried OCing. I managed to get my FX 8300 stable at 4.754Ghz with a Vcore peaking at 1.500v under full load and my thermal margin of 5.0C.

Pretty damn impressive chip for the $$

i never actually owned this cpu at all lol. at the time i was planing to upgrade my g3258 but i was very new to pc building, so i was this this had "8 cores" i thought it was gonna be the best cpu on the planet for cheap lol but after i put more research into it i just gave up with that idea and saved up for a 6600k (which i have in my system atm) but thank you for your concern and reply :3
