Its ny first time building a gaming PC and the motherboard is one area I really dont understand. What features do I look for? I want my pc to be as upgradable as posssible without breaking the bank.

Here are.the basic parts I have decided to get so far:

Intel core i5 6500 or 6600k. (Not really crazy about overclocking so im dont really care about getting the 6600 unlocked and im hoping to get this in sale when november comes btw)

Rx480 4 or 8gb or any budget card you would recommend.

My build is kinda around the budget of 650 dollars. And I would also like to consider the idea of putting the rx 480 in crossfire in the future.

I would really appreciate your answers.

Something like the H170 Pro Gaming from Asus might be good for you, however going to XFire the second slot only offers X4. Would want to kick up to a Z1790 for dual x8 and crossfire

When you run a graphics card by itself it's running in x16 mode - on most mobos when you move to 2 cards be it SLI or XFire the lines in the PCI-E slot reduce down to X8 which is still plenty as the CPU/mobos split the supported 16 between the two slots. With most H7 mobos it's further reduces and supports one card at x8 and the second at only X4
