Just built a new pc yesterday. It runs fine, temps stay fine while gaming. No problems at all except there is a slight smell. Not really burning smell kinda hard to explain and it's not very strong. Is this normal?
if your pc have the power supply on the bottom of the case and it on carpet you may be smelling burning carpet. if your pc is on carpet place small book or wood across the bottom of the case to give the power supply an air space.
on smell may be cleaner or flux or glue used in making the parts or in the heat sink. most times the smell will stop after one or two days of uses. if you can still smell something unplug the rear fan if the smell stops. contact the case vendor for a free replacement under warranty or replace the fan yourself.
First I'd smell check around th pc then smell the inside and see where it's coming from. Usually PCs smell like the house they're located in once you have it for awhile.
I've tried that the only place I feel I can smell it is coming out of back fan. But that just means could be coming from anywhere. It's only ran about 7 hours total at this point.
My case does have a built in fan controller. I have all fans 2 front and the 1 cheaper looking one in back. I usually leave on high while gaming could the rpms be too fast for the back fan?
