I came back from school and go onto my computer and I wake or up from sleep, the mouse wasnt working, which was a common thing so I hold down the power button. Next thing u know I turn on the computer and I hear the hard drive and fans kicking off but the indicator light isn't on and all my peripherals aren't working including my mouse and monitor. I have a 4670k processor, gtx 770, MSI gaming mobo, a barracuda hard drive. Plz help I spent 1200 on this.

Solution
To reinstall the operating system, you will have to find a disc or USB of the operating system you want.

All your data will be put in a folder called windows.old but it's probably what you have to do.

I had to reinstall my operating system to fix this problem with my computer.

Holding the power button down is called force shutting down and can corrupt certain things such as the operation system.

How old is this system? 1200$ for this hardware is a little bad.

you have a hardware failure not a software one. if there no video from the gpu to your screen on power up you have a hardware not software failure. start with pulling the gpu see if the power supply can power on the motherboard on board video. if it wont post try a new or test power supply. on your rig what the brand and size of the power supply??
