I am building a Mini ITX system with an i7 6700K so I would like a z170 chipset 1151 socket motherboard. The main requirement is I need an M.2 2280 compatible board because I'm using a Samsung 950 Pro in the build. I have done my research and these are the only four motherboards I could find that are compatible: (Money isn't a deciding factor. I just want the best board.)

ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming

Gigabyte GA-Z170N Gaming 5

ASRock FATAL1TY Gaming-ITX/AC

Gigabyte GA-Z170N WIFI

I am thinking the ASUS Pro and Gigabyte Gaming 5 are the best options here. I have never been a fan of ASRock's FATAL1TY line and I honestly hate the branding of some random gamer. I have never heard good things about these boards and I see no reason to get it over the ASUS or Gigabyte. As for the bottom Gigabyte WIFI motherboard, I am honestly not sure why it was made since it is at the same price point as the Gaming 5. I see no reason to even consider it.

Did I miss any other z170 Mini ITX motherboards that are compatible? If not, which of these boards would you choose and why? There are a lot of similarities between all of them and I have done my research to no avail so hopefully you guys can help me distinguish which is the best choice. Thank you.

TL:DR

- Need Z170 1151 mini ITX motherboard with M.2 port that is 2280 compatible for my Samsung 950 Pro.

- I could only find the four listed above that show to be compatible. Are there any others that I missed which would be worth looking at?

- if these four are my only choices, which is the best option and why? The bottom two I don't see much reason to consider but I am open minded. All of these motherboards are extremely similar so it is difficult to choose.

- which would you choose between the Asus z170i Pro and Gigabyte z170 gaming 5? Price is not a deciding factor I just want the best motherboard for my system and hopefully someone to point out the major differences so I can make a clear decision.

Thank you for your reply.

The MSI board has an M2 slot but it does not support the larger ssds such as the Samsung 950 Pro which is 2280. I believe the EVGA is the same story as I remember researching them both. I love EVGA power supplies but I will never touch one of their motherboards again. Haha I've only purchased two and both were DOA. I've heard their motherboard quality isn't that great especially the smaller versions.

The Asus Maximus 8 impact is my favorite but it does not include an M2 slot which is extremely disappointing. I do like the other ASUS and Gigabyte boards as well though.
