V-Sync Does it take load off of the GPU and or CPU?

If i turn on v-sync on low end games will it take stress off of the gpu and create less heat? All i know know about v-sync is that it prevents screen tearing.

V-sync will also limit your FPS to your refresh rate. If FPS are higher than your refresh rate (usually 60hz), then it will reduce the load on your system and reduce heat.

both. vsync locks your frame rate to monitor refesh rates. for 60hz monitors that would be 60FPS. so both CPU and GPU will not "work harder" to produce as much as FPS they can. but remember this is only true if the game FPS can exceed your monitor refresh rates.
