I am building a computer for my first time and I have bought a 600w RaidMax 80Plus Gold and I was wondering if I could use 2 GTX 560 ti in my computer
Please Help
I have read on some websites that I can and on others it says that I cant

Solution
it may not work if you plan to overclock them, there are many variables which means poeple will say no just to be safe try a wattage calculatorhttp://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/

Technically it should work but that PSU is poor quality and highly unlikely it can deliver anywhere near 600w. I wouldn't even try it, if it fails there is a chance it will damage other components. The quality of a psu is equally or more important than rating.

Well im just gonna use one GPU for now and see how it runs... and then ill see how much w if pulls and see if i can add another one. thanks everyone for your imputs on my PSU :) the PSU cuclator says that im only going to need 442w and i have a 600w

Those calculators are poison. If you listed your full specs here and overclocking habits, particular aftermarket GPU type, etc. I could give you a much more accurate, real-world view of power.

Basically it looks like with that one unit they have met the requirements for an acceptable power supply - but now they are selling for $140 what their competitors are selling for $70. And even if they sort that out, it will take a long time for the stink of the Raidmax name to wear off for PSUs.

There was another one they made a couple years ago, an 800W bronze unit I believe, that was also torn apart and generally rated as acceptable, but again - hard to trust them with all the crap they've put out.
