Is my graphics card failing?

I built my pc in November. Within the past week and a half, whenever it goes under load while gaming, the graphics card's fan gets much louder than it used to and I occasionally crash graphics drivers.

Tonight for the first time my computer straight up froze and I had to do a reboot.

Is there anything I can do as a diagnosis to make sure it's the graphics card that is failing?

Do you have any suggestions?

Download OCCT and try the 3d torture test and see if that causes it to crash. Can you provide your full specs?

If you have another graphics card, its worth trying that to see.

Use something like MSI afterburner to check the temperature of the GPu when gaming.

If the card is a few years old, its likely you just need to replace the thermal paste, and blow the fan/heatsink out with compressed air to remove the dust build up.

The card is a 980TI I bought new in November. It runs about 70-80c under load.
