Hello, I recently purchased a evga 980ti and am having a performance issue in game. 50-80fps in WoW on max settings 1920-1080 res. Main concern is the 80-90 fps Im getting in CS:GO I know the 980ti is overkill for the game just wondering why im getting such low frames. when a friend with the same card is getting 280-300 steady.

Any help would be great, I've done enough research and talking to techs time to let the pros handle it k thanks.

Here is my 3d mark results, specs for my build should be there http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/14482705

What CPU does your friend have? I forgot to ask. That FX 8350 might be holding you back. I don't know about CS:GO, but WoW is very unfriendly to AMD hardware. Also, need to know the actual CPU temp. Just because it is water cooled, doesn't mean it cannot overheat.
NZXT Cam, comes with NZXT liquid coolers, but anyone can install it. Known to cause limited performance.

Maybe you need a clean GPU driver install since you installed a new GPU:

If you have graphics or driver issues, one of the most common fixes is a clean uninstall and removal of your graphics drivers.

To uninstall your drivers, first download and run Display Driver Uninstaller, and follow it's recommendations of booting into safe mode and ect.
(This is a direct download link so you don't grab the wrong version)
http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,20.html

You'll download a compressed file called "[Guru3D.com]-DDU.zip"
Right click and choose extract.
Go into the folder and run the DDU v##.##.exe
This will extract more files to this folder.
Run Display Driver Uninstaller.exe
Choose Yes when it asks you to boot into SafeMode.
After you've rebooted into safe mode.
When DDU comes up, if it hasn't selected your GPU manufacturer (Nvidia/AMD/Intel) then choose it from the drop down list
Press the Clean and Restart option
If a window comes up asking to disable the Windows automatic installation of display drivers click yes.

After (or before removing the old drivers, just put the new ones on the desktop or somewhere handy) rebooting back into Windows, manually download the latest drivers from Nvidia or AMD, don't use auto detect, choose you GPU model and OS from the drop down lists.

I've already done a DDU and a fresh install of the latest video drivers. And I do not have a cam software that I know of. Unless it's the same thing as corsair link.

It's similar to the corsair link software. try uninstalling it and see if the FPS improves.

Didn't swap my card out. Decided to try a different game tried bf4 and I'm getting a steady 120 frames. I'm thinking it has to be either a software issue conflicting with counterstrike. Im not sure what wow frames should be at with my set up but it recommends a 7/10 on the slider for graphics settings and I'm at 10/10 and getting a steady 60 to 80 frames. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the software or driver issue with csgo. Thanks.

Swapped my 980ti out with my old 480gtx and I am getting the same frames in both csgo and in world of warcraft. The only thing the card has done for me is give me a higher benchmark on 3dmark other then that a lighter wallet. Please help!!!!!!!!

Well from what the evga tech told me from the bench mark on 3d mark is that I'm getting bottlenecked by my cpu. So I'm going to overclock it tonight. I'm running 38° at idle. Under load I don't get over 50°, unless I'm running prime 95.

Ok before I overclock. What's a temperature to stay under? I've heard 61° c is as hot as I want to go. I'm going to reapply TIM because I think 38C is hot for idle. I have a corsair H80IGT.
