I've recently been reading on different hard drives and it changed my mind on getting seagates sshd.. But now that I look, there are so many different options out there! Which is the best option for having as the main drive which will run windows and all the programs everyday. 2tb is fine too

I would like to stay under the $100 mark though

If you're going to be using it as a storage drive than a WD blue or an equivalent Seagate HDD will be fine. Both sit at $50 and as a secondary or storage drive will work perfectly. If for some reason you really need the speed a WD black will do the job, but at that point, you may just want to look into getting an SSD.
