As you might have already seen, Kaby Lake was officially announced today, and I just bought a i7-6700k 2 days ago...so would it be worth it for me to ship it back and wait for them to start selling them? Or should I keep what I have. All I've seen that it has the upper hand on 6th gen with is the 4K support.

Solution
Kaby lake will be launching soon, but only in the low power embedded market
"Kaby Lake-based processors will scale to address a number of segments, but the faster H-series products, which Intel designed for more enthusiast-oriented mobile platforms (like gaming laptops), the S-series (mainstream desktop), HEDT, workstation, and enterprise products are not due until next year."
