CPU Cooler Question

I recently built my first gaming computer in years, and for the most part I believe I have some decent parts. The only issue I've come across so far is that my CPU, an AMD FX-8350, seems to reach its maximum safe temperature fairly easily while gaming (tested on Overwatch and today's Battlefield 1 Beta). I was able to change some settings on Overwatch to reach a much better maximum temperature, but today's Battlefield 1 Beta is what has me considering installing a new CPU cooler.

The CPU cooler I have in mind is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. My main concern is whether or not it will fit inside of my case. My case is a DeepCool Tesseract. The dimensions of both follow.

DeepCool Tesseract: 17.80" x 8.27" x 18.57" (H x W x D)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO: 3.1" x 4.7" x 6.3" (H x W x D)

I believe it will fit inside of the case given the dimensions, but there may be something I'm missing, so I'm mostly just asking for confirmation from others. I do also have a bottom-mounted PSU, though my graphics card is also on the large side (an ROG STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING), so I'm not sure if it'll restrict available space any.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help me.

Solution
The outside dimensions of the case aren't sufficient to determine whether a given cpu cooler will fit, but I looked up specs (http://www.deepcool.com/product/case/2014-04/9_824.shtml), and that case has 165mm clearance for cpu coolers, which is sufficient for a Hyper 212 evo (159mm tall).

@Themastererr the stock cooler for an FX-8350 uses a clip rather than screws, doesn't it? Thus I'm not sure your advice about tightening them in a star pattern applies.

The cooler should be able to handle the 8350 especially at stock values. OverWatch doesn't fully utilize this CPU so I'm surprised you're over heating.

I would double check to make sure you tightened the screws down all the way in a "Star" pattern. If the screws are right then possibly your thermal paste wasn't applied right.

I apologize I thought he had the Hyper 212 already.

I have paired a Hyper 212 Evo with a Fx-8350 before and it does the job perfectly. You can actually even add a reasonable overclock with it. The cooler is very quiet and even with high loads you'll hardly hear it.

And to answer your question, yes the default cooler uses clips.
