I have a gigabyte x99-ud4 lga2011-3 and I was going to enable vt-x through bios, but when the BIOS starts up it just shows a black screen.
Only one monitor connected, a SSD and a HDD connected at the moment, already did a reset cmos and didnt fix the issue.
I'm also trying to update my bios using a win exec file the manufacturer gave me to download and says I can't use it because my OS is 64 bits.

If you have any idea what is happening please feel free to comment.

Sorry for the late response, but i was busy.
My motherboard doesn't have a slot for a video cable, neither vga or anything. I tried using a vga, hdmi and a DVI on the graphic card I have and still gives me the black screen.

There's a bios update for my board, but the exec file it gives doesnt run in my OS because is 64 bits and not 32 as the exec wants. I could try to update it manually but I don't really know how.

Ok, I'm checking the manual now and I will try to follow the steps it says there.
I will let you know if that worked or not.

Now i can access the bios, enabled the vt-x and hyper v in windows, but the virtual box still says vt-x is not enabled.

If you installed the OS on the virtual machine before BIOS changes maybe you'll have to re install it. Or re create the virtual machine you'll be working with.

Hi, I re-installed the virtual machine as well as the OS, I still get that error, I uninstalled the antivirus and I checked with the LeoMoon CPU-V tool to see if I had VT-x enabled, the tool said I didn't had it enabled.
I checked in the BIOS if it was still on, and yes it was, my Cpu can have this option enabled ( i7 5820k).
At this point I'm running out of ideas, didn't had this problem since I re-installed windows.

What is your software of choice for VM?

Virtual box, and it doesn't let me choose between 32 bits and 64 bits when I have to choose the VM and I have a OS installed with 64 bits ( http://imgur.com/a/STYha don't mind the language, but you can see its a 64 bits OS with a 64 Cpu).
In the settings of the VM the acceleration tab is disabled.
