Hey guys!
So i've had some trouble with my PC lately and decided to format it, now when i tried to install windows on my SSD it said that it can't install on that disk, so i read somewhere that you need to disconnect your other drives (i have 3TB WD black for data and two WD red 3T mirroring each other for BackUp RAID1) so i decided to disconnect all my drives including my array.

Next i had to do this a few times because i needed to reinstall windows a few times and at one of the times windows said it had to check the disk ... and i let him .. now as far as i know windows can't tell its a raid array in chkdisk in boot .. the check found a lot of orphaned files and started to recover them .. nothing about bad sectors or anything.

and now that i've finished my installations and ran the chkdisk again and got to windows all was good until i started to install things from my mirror array, and i have came across corrupted files that 100% weren't corrupted before ... and i am super worried ....
The intel Rapid status shows that it's all ok, also the boot menu says status is ok and everything's fine ...

What can i do now?

Solution
They're mirrored drives... The information on them is the same. If a file on drive 0 is corrupt, the corruption is copied(mirrored) to drive 1. You need to get the file from a backup.
If your going to check the raid array for it`s integrity then, you may have an extended sub bios setup menu that deals with it depending on the motherboard you have Fustrun.

It is normally accessed just like the bios of the motherboard when you first power your system on.
And can be for example the F10 key on the keyboard just before windows OS boots.

Or it can be accessed by Ctrl, Alt Gr and pressing down the R key on the keyboard all at the same time.
From the sub bios menu that deals with the raid array.
You can wipe the array, to set the drives back to single storage devices.
Create another Array, or format the Array of selected drives.

If your getting errors, then it could be as simple as just a bad Sata data cable on one of the drives set in a raid 1 config.
So i would at least swap both cables used for Sata with the two drives of the array first if anything.

" BackUp RAID1"

Raid is not backup. The whole idea behind raid is hardware redundancy.... You can have a hard drive fail, and still operate. That's it - nothing more

If you have corrupted data(even in a raid) then you have to go to backup to get files that aren't corrupted. Or deleted by accident. or to recover from a fire that destroys the machine, or many other potential things.

Thanks for the quick reply!
This is the board i have GA-Z77X-UD4H do you have any idea where can i find it on Gigabyte boards?
Also i was wondering how it would work since how could he know which one of the drives has the correct undamaged files ... it's all binary read/write information test after all ... so could he compare the two drives and decide that actually the one who has the corrupt file is actually the right version of the file and replace it with the corrupt version?
I am sorry if it's a stupid questions but i have no idea how it works ..
