Ive been running the same set up for over a year and this morning when i turned it on the message 'Please Power Down And Connect The PCIe Power Cable(s) For This Graphics Card' came up.
Ive taken out the cable and put it back in and that didnt help
My specs are:
Geforce GTX 750 ti ftw - GPU
Asus M5A97 R2.0 -MB
Corsair CS550M -PSU

Any ideas what I could do to fix it or what the problem could be, the pc hasent been touched since it was last working so really confused. cheers

Solution
Could be the connector at the PSU end is loose. Maybe the PSU has quit providing power to the PCIe cable... or the cable/connector is bad. Possibly the card's power detection circuit has failed. Try another card. Or another PSU or cable.

Ok thanks. I just put my mates old gtx 960 in, and now everything is running fine (much better fps actually haha). So the problem must be in my gtx 750. This must mean that its faulty and I should send it back, right?

It would appear so, yes. Can you try your GTX 750 Ti in his PC?
